I. Introduction to Lancaster University

Founded in 1961, Lancaster University is a research-intensive university located in Lancashire, northwest England. It enjoys an excellent academic reputation and is a member of the N8 University Alliance, the European University Association, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It has long been ranked among the top 150 in well-known world university rankings such as QS and Times Higher Education, and among the top 15 in the UK. Lancaster University is one of the 25 most targeted universities by the UK’s top graduate employers.

II. Professional Rankings

Lancaster University has 9 subjects ranked among the top 100 in the QS World Rankings, including Linguistics, English Language and Literature, Marketing, Modern Languages, Sociology, Accounting and Finance, Business and Management Studies, Statistics and Operational Research, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Among them, Linguistics is ranked 3rd in the QS World Rankings.
