The strategic cooperation signing ceremony was opened between ICSA and Data Grand, a Shanghai-based enterprise devoting to the development, processing and applications of data. On behalf of each side, Hu Kaibao dean of ICSA and Chen Yunwen CEO of Data Grand signed a cooperation framework agreement. Chen accepted ICSA’s invitation to work as a part-time supervisor of students from ICSA. It has advanced technologies such as natural language understanding, natural language generation and knowledge graph. Focusing on the construction and application of corpus and database, and with the construction and application of multilingual parallel corpus as its main mission, ICSA of Shanghai International Studies University implements the development strategies of 'internationalization', 'interdisciplinarity' and 'combination of industry, research and applications', educates high-level talents in the field of language data science and applications that meet the major needs of national development and the forefront of international academic research. The signing of the cooperation framework agreement has drawn a blueprint for the future cooperation between the two partners in the construction of curriculum groups, the compilation of teaching materials and monographs, the establishment of internship bases, the holding of language data competitions, the construction and application of joint laboratories, and the construction of center for post-doctoral research.
