Virtual Lecture: The Application of Corpus in Language Teaching and Research: A Case Study of the Multilingual Platform of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China
Abstract: With regard to the establishment of the Multilingual Platform of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, the lecture aims to illustrate how corpus can best assist the teaching and research in foreign languages. We argue that with the technical advantages of corpus, researchers can explore how specific vocabulary and syntactic structures are used and what are the discourse features on the basis of large-scale corpus observation and relevant data statistics and analysis and visualize these identified trends and features. These research results can be directly applied to foreign language teaching and research, and realize the intellectualization, digitization and visualization of foreign language teaching and research.
