Bytedance Special Lecture series on "Language Data Science and Applications" in May

In order to promote the cultivation of talents in the discipline of language data science and application, and explore the service scenarios of language data technology and talents in enterprises, the Institute of Corpus Studies and Applications, Shanghai International Studies University and the ByteDance will launch Bytedance Special Lecture series on "Language Data Science and Applications" from May 10, 2023, with a total of 4 sessions. It will be held offline every Wednesday at 2pm (except for major events of the Institute). The first lecture will be on May 10, 2023.

Speaker: Liu Jian

Product Manager of ByteDance's Volcano Translation Team, mainly responsible for the commercialization and enterprise-level application of Volcano Translation algorithms. He graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with bachelor's degree and master's degree, majoring in English (TEM-8) and Russian (Tem-8) and has 5 years of commercialization experience in AI technology. After joining the Volcano Translation team, he participated in the design and development of a number of localization and translation-related products such as Volcano Simultaneous Interpretation and Volcano Translation Studio, and completed simultaneous interpretation support for several online and offline conferences including "Murakami Takashi China Live Broadcast Debut" and "2021 Beijing KLCII Conference".
