Dr. Lü is awarded her doctoral degree in 2020 by the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris for her thesis entitled “A reference grammar of Caijia: An unclassified language of Guizhou, China”. Her research interests center around linguistic typology in East and Southeast Asia, language documentation, grammaticalization and Sino-Tibetan languages. Her investigated languages include: Caijia (unclassified Sino-Tibetan), Naxi (Tibeto-Burman), Early Modern Southern Min (Sinitic), Panshi Northeastern Mandarin (Sinitic), and Pingjiang Gan (Sinitic).
